Anthony Nathaniel Tanner

Mr. Anthony Nathaniel Tanner, age 75 of Gainesville, Ga., passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was born on August 27, 1949 in Gainesville, Ga., to the late Nathan Tanner and Mabel Stephens Tanner. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He was a Baptist by faith.

Left to cherish his memories are; his wife, Martha Sosebee Tanner, children, Linda (Anthony) Brecht of Hartwell, Ga., Mary Hele of Lula, GA., Daniel Tanner of Gainesville, GA., and Donna (Jake) McAvoy of Toccoa, Ga., siblings, Keith Wallace, Ronald Wallace and Thad Wallace. Twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren survive.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Anthony Tanner will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Two o'clock from The Creek Church in Canon, GA.,. Mr. Timothy Nation will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. Family members will be at their respective homes.
