Bobby Crabtree

Mr. Bobby Joe Crabtree, age 88 of Valdosta, Ga., passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional.

He was born on February 15, 1936 in Williamson, WV to the late Robert Crabtree and Josephine Layne Blackburn. He grew up in Pikeville Kentucky. Bobby was a cabinet maker and  he loved building classic cars. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

Left to cherish his memories are; wife, Dale Crafts Crabtree, children, Raina C.(John Steven Jr.) Troxell, of Lavonia, Ga., Renita Young (Stacey Mark Jr.) of Valdosta, Ga., Paul Joseph Bryan of Canada, grandchildren, John Steven Troxell III, Taylor Blake Young, Justin Matthew Troxell, Hunter Cole Young, Jessica Raina Lewis and his sister, Zama Picklesimer. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene Dye and Vivian Geraldine Blassingthwaite and infant sibling, Henry Milton Dye.  

The family has chosen cremation and no service will be held at this time.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
