Mr Brooks Connor Preacher, Jr age 81 of Mt Olivet Road in Hartwell, GA passed away peacefully Saturday October 28th at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. He was born June 8, 1942 in Milwalkee, WI to Lt Colonel Brooks Connor Preacher and Grace Littleton Preacher.
He grew up in Virginia and after graduation from Mclean High school attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC,. He received his Bachelor of Science from Limestone University, and his Master of Arts from Central Michigan University. He retired from AT&T as a Project Manager and moved to Hartwell in 1998. He was a member of Mt Olivet Baptist Church which he attended as long as health permitted.
Left to cherish precious memories of him are his wife Ruby Ann of the home, 2 sons Daniel Brooks Preacher (Gause, TX) and Earl Franklin Preacher (Sherrie) (Luray VA), one brother Dr. Stephen P. Preacher (Ronda) (Anderson, SC).
Mr. Preachers wishes were to be cremated with no formal service. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
