Cedric "Satchamo" Martin

Mr. Cedric Juan Martin, age 62 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Cedric was born on December 25, 1959 in Hartwell. Cedric AKA Satchamo was self employed and had the best BBQ around. He loved his family dearly. He always said "It's about the family." "Good times and good food."

He is preceded in death by his father; James Thomas Martin, Grandfathers; James (Trig) Martin, Timothy Freeman, and Grandmother; Vola Allen.

Left to cherish his memories are; his mother, Thelma (Horace) Turman,, wife, Angela Patterson Martin, daughter, Nijah Alshana Martin of Cascade, GA., six God children; Trey Humble, Shanae Dye, James Dye Jr., Ricus Dye, Shyricus Thornton, Brianna Hickman, Terry Williams, siblings, Melvin (Twailer) Martin, Jennifer (Stanley) Shumaker, Shala (Curtis) Chapman, and  Debra (Billy) Brewer, all of Hartwell, step brother; Brandon Turman, a host of nieces and nephews, and Grandmother; Ida Ruth Martin.

His wishes were to be cremated and a service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Two o'clock at Christian Worship Assembly located at 3874 Royston Highway in Hartwell.

The family will be at 468 Liberty Hill Church Road in Hartwell.  

Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
