Charlene Summerfield

Mrs. Donna Charlene Mooney Summerfield, age 69 of 425 Brookwood Drive, Lavonia,Ga., went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning. April 2, 2017 with her family by her side.

Born January 4, 1948 in Charleston, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Donald Mooney and Violet Williams Mooney. Charlene was a graduate of Tri-County Tech and was a registered nurse. She was of the baptist faith. Charlene had worked at Hart County Hospital, Hart Care Center, Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center and other healthcare facilities. She was a cheerful person and cared deeply for her patients.

Survivors include, her husband, Duane Summerfield of the home, daughter, Kyla Summerfield and her fiance', Jimmy Nations, Lavonia, Ga., sister, Terra Smith and her husband, William of Colquitt, Ga., and brother, Richard Mooney, Charleston, W. Va and grandson, Dawson Chitwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Gretha Lynn Hudson.

The family will hold a visitation on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, Ga. In accordance to her wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation. No formal service will be held. She will be laid to rest in Charleston, W. Va.
