Obituary for
Deborah Gaines
Deborah "Debby" Stout Gaines, age 59 of Shelbyville, TN and formerly of Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27, 2015 at her home.
Born September 2, 1956 in Atlanta, Ga., to the late William Fowler Stout and Wenne Dean Wheat Stout. She served in the U.S. Army as a drill instructor, MP, trained with the Rangers, was awarded the Soldier of the Army Award and served with the K-9 unit in Germany. She worked in the local school system as a substitute teacher and loved the children. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Community Bible Study, FCE and the Women's Club. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and aunt who loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Frank Richard "Ricky" Gaines, children, Scott G. Gaines and Deana Gaines all of Shelbyville, brother, Mike Stout and his wife, Sue of Georgia, sister, Susan Williamson and husband, mark of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Debby Gaines will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home. Rev.Tom Henry and Rev. Curtis Parker will officiate burial will be in Rosebank Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday 5-8 p.m. at the funral home. Memorials may be made to the scholarship fund to be set up at Calvary Baptist Church.
