Mrs. Deborah Mulkey Taylor, age 71 of Mt. Olivet Road in Hartwell, passed away on March 4, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 23, 1953 in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Charles Mulkey and Geneva Mulkey Ricks and step-father, Rufus Ricks. Deborah retired with 41 years of educating students in Hart County. She graduated from Truett-McConnell College, and held degrees from the University of Georgia including her BS, Masters and Specialist degrees. She loved her flowers, gardening, cooking, canning, hummingbirds, cardinals and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are; her husband of 50 years, Bobby J. Taylor, children, Genea (Daniel) Johnson, and Debi (David) Thornton, Tracie Taylor Powell. She is also survived by grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Ethan, Kelly, Sarah, Anthony, and Bradley along with great-grandchildren, Colt, Kaeson, Novah, (and one on the way), Brothers, Bill (Paula) Mulkey and Artis Ricks.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Joseph Taylor.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Deborah Taylor will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Two o'clock from Coile and Hall Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be be at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Friday 12-2 just prior to the funeral service.

The family will be at the home, 3709 Mt. Olivet Road in Hartwell.

Services are entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
