Donald Joe "Donnie" Holland

Mr. Donald Joe “Donnie” Holland, age 78, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away on Saturday June 8, 2024, at the home of his daughter surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 23, 1945, in Royston, Georgia to the late Arnold and Viola Thrasher Holland. Early on he was a residential painter then worked with the Unites States Postal Service where he retired. Mr. Holland was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church. He loved his family greatly as well as his Shih Tzu sidekick “Lucy”.

Mr. Holland is survived by his daughter Tiffany Holland Baker (Adam) of Royston, Georgia, grandchildren, Austin, Avery, Carter, and Caleb Reed, Vincent and Andrew Baker. A brother Hugh Holland, and brother-in-law Jerry P. Brown, sister in law, Margie Holland. Numerous Nieces and nephews, Natalie Holland Houseman (Kevin), Kay Holland Reed (Terry), Keith Holland (Jeanie), John Brown (Jenny) and Melanie Brown.

In addition to his parents Mr. Holland is preceded in death by his brother Charles Holland, sister Carolyn H. Brown, sister-in-law Gaye Holland, as well as a nephew Chuck Holland.

In accordance with Mr. Holland's wishes he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at Impact Church of Hartwell, 764 Benson Street, Hartwell, Ga. on Friday June 14, 2024 at Six o'clock. The family invites everyone to come celebrate Donnie's life.
