Doris Brown

Mrs. Doris Virginia Griffin Brown, age 91 of Lavonia, Ga., passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

She was born on September 11, 1933 in Nashville, Ga., to the late A.K. Griffin and Ethel Smith Griffin. She had worked in accounting and was a Methodist by faith.

Left to cherish her memory are; children, Valerie Williams and Mike Kesler both of Lavonia, Ga., grandchildren, Dustin (Katie) Ayers, Kristen (Robbie) Smith, great-grandchildren, Hogan Ayers, Trey Silva, Waylon Smith, nephew, Rusty Smith, and nieces, Cindy Stiles and Pam Gaeta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lois & Margaret, a brother Junior and her husband Jim Brown.

The family has chosen cremation and at this time no services will be held.

Services have  been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
