Mr. John Fitzgerald “Gerald” Lowery, age 60, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his home.

Born December 11, 1963 in Rutherfordton, NC, he was the son of Floyd Edward “Eddie” Lowery and the late Judy Walker Lowery Lambing.

Gerald was a member of The Pointe Church and retired from Hart EMC in December of 2022 with 38 years of service.

Family members include his son, Caleb Lowery and his fiancé Tori Fain; grandson, Silas Fitzgerald Lowery; former wife and special friend, Stephanie Lowery; caregiver and special friend, Judy Bennett; his father, Eddie Lowery, brother, Donnie Lowery; sisters, Donna Lowery, Tracy Lowery Smith, and Amy Lambing Kostecky; nieces and nephews, Karlie, Kelsie, and Eli Lowery, Michaela Morris, and Makauis, Kaylee Melton, Tori Barnes, Seth and Justin Cash, and Branson Allen; and several cousins.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Canaan Fitzgerald Lowery, his mom, Kay Branch, and his sister, Connie Lambing Kennedy.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Friday, November 8, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock Saturday, November 9, 2024 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Mike Petty officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

Donnie Lowery, Eli Lowery, Jason Smith, Leon Rider, Bryon Bennett, and Corey Bennett will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the home of his son, Caleb Lowery, at 427 Sherwood Street, Toccoa, GA 30577.
