Ken Stowe

Mr. Johnny Kenneth (Ken) Stowe, age 86 of Reed Creek Highway, Hartwell GA passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023 at home.

He was born in Commerce GA on February 11, 1937 to the late John P. Stowe and Mary Alice Yarborough Stowe. He worked in the textile industry at Clarke Schwebel Mill for over 30 years and he was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings;  Bobby Stowe, Jimmy Stowe, and Janice Gilliam.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Polly Thrasher Stowe, his children Johnny Kenneth Stowe, Jr. of Anderson, SC and Spencer Stowe of Anderson, SC. His sister, Joyce Merck of Long Creek, SC; Six grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren.  

Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at two o'clock PM at the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors at 333 East Johnson Street, Hartwell, GA 30643. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-2:00 prior to the service.  Ms. Julie Yeargin will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
