Mary Ashley

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Cline Ashley, age 66 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.  

She was born in Atlanta, Ga., on March 25, 1958 to the late Howard Lee Cline and Eva Cortez Herron Cline. She had previously been owner of Butterbeans Restaurant in Hartwell and had been owner of Huddle House's.

Left to cherish her memory are: daughters, Lorie Gilliam and Rachael Collier both of Hartwell, Ga., and siblings, Larry Dean Cline of Lithia Springs, Ga., and Vivian Leigh Long of Douglasville, Ga., Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive. 

Mary's wish was to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. 

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
