Mary Swindell Rudeseal, 82, of Hartwell, Ga., died January 10, 2022, following a short illness.

Born November 28, 1939 in Nashville, Ga. (Berrien County), she was the daughter of the late Linton Doyle Swindell and Juanita McDonald Swindell. Mary, her husband Ernest, and their family lived in Gwinnett County and Mary retired from Bruce Wall Systems, Tucker, Ga.

Following retirement, Mary and Ernest moved to Hartwell in 1996 and from there, they enjoyed travelling and a plethora of volunteer activities. After Ernest's passing, Mary continued travelling, enjoyed gardening, loved playing games, and get[1]ting together with family and friends. Mary most recently volunteered at St. Mary's Sacred Heart. She was loved by many. Her friendship, wit, wealth of knowledge, listening ear and sage advice will truly be missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ernest Aron Rudeseal; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Rudeseal. She is survived by her two appreciative children: daughter, Lisa Rudeseal of Zebulon, Ga. and son, Randy Rudeseal, of Winston, Ga.; and two granddaughters, Ashlyn Rudeseal of Sherman Oaks, Calif. and Emily Rudeseal of Kennesaw, Ga. Mary also leaves behind her brother, Linton Swindell, his wife Mary Swindell of Hoschton, Ga. and his two children, Lenny Swindell of Lilburn, Ga.; and Sherry Swindell of Avondale Estates, Ga.

Mary was of Presbyterian faith and she donated her body to Emory University School of Medicine. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks you to be intentional in your expressions of love to those important to you.
