Robert Pope

Mr. Robert Michael Pope, age 70 of Royston, Ga., passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 22, 1952 in Atlanta GA to the late James and Elsie Oberton Pope.  He served in the United States Army. He also worked in the hardware department at Wal-mart. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Nascar, diamond painting, making latchhook rugs and his furbaby Rascal.

Left to cherish his memories are his spouse, Cindy Herren Pope; his daughter Crystal Contreras (Jorge) of California; his sister Angela White (Robert) of Franklin NC, sister in law Marty Pope of  Franklin NC, and a brother James Pope (Tony) of Lumberton NC and 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Jesse Contreras.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Scott, Pete and Marshall Pope.

A gathering of friends and family be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
