Robert Young

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that Robert Mitchell Young III passed away on March 24, 2023. He was born in Houston, Texas on November 9, 1972. He was raised by his Mother in Texas  and then moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama with his father at age 16.  He was a long time employee of Budweiser in Alabama. He met the love of his life while in Alabama and followed her back to Hartwell, Ga in January of 2010. Where he had been living for the last 13 years of his life. He learned the trade of welding and landed a job working for Funspot, making trampolines,  for a few years before going to go work for his father in law making powdercoating  ovens. He gave his all and expected nothing in return. He loved his boys, Zac, Nick and Dylan Young very much.  He was a very proud father. He loved working with his hands, carving things out of wood. Even though he caught very few fish, his passion was fishing. He will truly be missed.

Robert left behind his wife Tara Young;  3 sons Zachary Young, Nicholas Young and Dylan Young; his sister Melissa Selph, nephew Austin McCartney; brother Nicholas Hilzendager; and cousin Spring Walker. He was greeted in heaven by his Mother- Marcella Culpepper, his father Robert Young Jr and his aunt Vickie Vanwinkle.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date on Lake Hartwell.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
