Sam Brown

Sam Brown Jr., age 82 of Hartwell, GA., passed away on Tuesday, Jan 31st, 2023.

He was born in Hartwell, GA., to the late JD Brown and Lammie Brown on May 4th, 1940.

Sam did farm work at a young age and later worked at Shelton Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the Hartwell Speedway but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by a very sprecial friend; Gloria R. Oglesby, his children; Bridget Brown-Strughill, Yvonne Teasley and Johnny Heard, Patrice (Tyrone) Smith, Destiny Brown, Kayonna (Joseph) Martin, Kendrea Thomas, Jolisa Montgomery, Fredricus Oglesby, Tylesha and Tyajia Clark, 4 Siblings Joe Brown, Sarah Walker, Sue Gaines and Charlotte Williams, 31 Grandkids, 32 Great grand Kids and 1 Great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; JD and Lammie Brown, 2 sons; Jerome and Keith Brown, 5 brothers; George Winkfield, Thomas Winkfield, Lynn Winkfield, William Brown and Jerry Brown.

Funeral Services for Sam Brown Jr. will be held on Sunday, Feb 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Franklin Baptist Church on New Hope Rd. He will lay in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation will follow the service.

The family has entrusted Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 East Johnson Street in Hartwell, GA. with the service.
